How full is it?
Ward median 97%
One of 14 ward schools over 100% in 2024-25. #12 of 29 by how full it is.
This is the October 2024 count, taken in the original building before it closed in March 2025.[6]
Enrolment is the Ministry’s October 31 headcount; permanent places are the board’s on-the-ground capacity. Portables aren’t counted as permanent places.
Students and educators
Ward median 23 (elementary schools)
All 21 classes, including split grades, counted by the Ministry in September 2024. Kindergarten classes: 24.5 on average. Grade 1 to 3 classes with no older students: 18.7 on average.
The building is closed for restoration, so we don't calculate students per teacher.[4]
A staff page is a directory of names, not full-time equivalents: part-time teachers count as one each, and staff based at other schools aren’t listed. Not every school lists its support staff. The board doesn’t publish staffing by school.

A primary classroom wing was added in 1954 and a gym in 1986.[7][8] - 2027Under way
Closed in March 2025 after a concern was found with the facade. The board is restoring the original building: work began in April 2026 (budget about $12M) and classes are due back in September 2027. For 2026-27 its attendance area is split between Empire and Prueter. In 2025-26 its students attended Sandowne PS, where 12 portables were added, under the plan the Board approved on April 7, 2025.[6][9][10][5][12][11]
New homes in its attendance area
While the school is closed, its neighbourhood is split between Empire and Prueter on the 2026-27 boundary map[12], so it has no area of its own to count. We’ll count it when the school reopens.
Building condition
Ward median 27%
Under the board's 65% “poor” line.[13] The index is five years of needed repairs divided by what it would cost to replace the building. Higher is worse. The red mark is the board’s 65% “poor” line.
